Estonian deep-tech expands to Finland

Skeleton Technologies is expanding its manufacturing capacity in Finland by acquiring European Battery Technologies Oy from bankruptcy.


European Batteries was the first company to manufacture Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) batteries in Europe.


The transaction deepens Skeleton's footprint in Finland, where they have an existing plant and collaboration with Aalto University in R&D.


Skeleton Technologies is a world leader in energy storage solutions based on Curved Graphene, which significantly increases the energy density of supercapacitors and SuperBattery, while solving stability and scalability issues of solid-state battery technologies.


Founded in developed in Estonia, Skeleton operates Europe's largest supercapacitor factory, in Dresden, and is in the process of constructing a state-of-the-art ultracapacitor factory in Leipzig. It has raised EUR 200m from global investors.
