Ericsson announces huge investment in Estonia

Writer: flowflow

Swedish IT giant Ericsson is to build a next-generation smart manufacturing and technology hub in Tallinn, Estonia.

The 50,000-square meter European hub is expected to be operational in early 2026 and involve an investment of EUR 155m.

The site will offer state-of-the-art facilities for co-developing new cellular ecosystems and production techniques and will emit 70% less carbon compared to current facilities thanks to use of renewable energy, use of AI, robotics, and Industry 4.0 technologies.

Current locations across Estonia will be consolidated to Ülemiste City, creating a centre of European innovation.

Ericsson is a major investor in Estonia, with approx. 2,000 FTEs across supply chain, accounting and manufacturing, and EUR 800m annual revenues.
